What goes in?
1 cup moong dal
2 cups coconut milk
1 tbsp ghee
1/2 cup grated jaggery
green cardamom for garnishing
What to do next?
Heat ghee, and roas the moong dal until golden brown
Dilute 1 cup of coconut milk with 1 cup of water (this is ideally the second milk, but when u use packed coconut milk this is a good alternative)
Add this dilute coconut milk to the moong dal and let it boil.
Continue to boil till the dal is cooked well
Add grated jaggery
Allow the jaggery to melt and mix well with the dal
Add the 2nd cup of coconut milk
Garnish with green cardamom powder
